We found Capt. Howie through his website and it sounded like he was right up our alley. We wanted an intimate, heartfelt, unique wedding, but we got so much more. Capt. Howie and Deva were so generous with themselves and their time. They made us feel so welcome. We were bringing together the cultures of East and West and I am convinced that Capt. Howie is the only person who could have performed our Oahu wedding ceremony. He intertwined the two different cultures and spiritual beliefs flawlessly. We could not have asked for better. Again, we want to thank you for everything. We will never forget what you have done for us. Our wedding pictures and video were A+ and we could not have asked for more. You will always be in our hearts.
You are definitely one of the Lord’s servants in all that you do. I know that he led us to you for our spiritual benefit. It always amazes me how big this world is and yet how small it is when you let God take the steering wheel. We always end up turning down the correct path which leads to great friendships and new adventures. Life has many challenges but with the Lord at the helm, our ships have crossed in the sea, and I know that is all part of a bigger plan. I now know the full meaning why you called your business Above Heaven’s Gate. A big thank you to your staff and everyone for being so friendly and personal for making our Oahu wedding such treasure. I’ll spread the word to any of my friends who are trying to find a place to get married. We will stop by and visit the next time we go to Hawaii. We wish you all the best in life. Mele Kalikimaka Captain Howie,
What I forgot to say, was that I cannot tell how much it meant to me that YOU married Vaun and Myself. After talking with you so many times, “you” just were the one for us. Perhaps you would have rather been sailing, and after being on your island I cannot blame you. But my heartfelt thanks go out to you. I have passed along your name to oh, 5-6 people already and I plan to tell more. You and your Wife and girls in the office, have been a pleasure to work with. I look forward to seeing the pictures as well as listening to the taped recording of our ceremony. It was such a busy time that, to be able to hear it all over again is a very nice touch. Again, I thank you Capt. Howie from the bottom of our hearts. After researching the numerous weddings Hawaii offers, we are so glad we chose Above Heaven’s Gate.
