Joan and Wayne Sircy – Wedding Hawaii

234Dear Capt. Howie,

When one thinks of the many places they have visited and the many wonderful experiences they have encountered, there is usually one that stands out amongst the rest. Our Hawaii Vow Renewal with Capt. Howie at Pukalani Falls with Above Heaven’s Gate is that one experience.

Planning a Hawaii destination wedding can be very stressful. The planning of our wedding from 4000+ miles away was effortless thanks to you and your professional staff. Everyone we communicated with was very courteous and so very helpful. It was like they were reading our minds and knew exactly what we wanted down to the tiniest detail. They never tired of our phone calls, emails and questions. When we finally met them we understood why things went so well because they were all such kind and caring people. Our hair stylist performed such artistry in doing my hair and makeup. Our photographer and videographer did such an exceptional job in taking pictures and video. The results were outstanding!

We feel so privileged and honored to have been welcomed into your amazing Hobbit House and home at Pukalani Falls. The gardens were absolutely exquisite. We felt as if we were in a lush paradise with all of the beautiful variety of flora, your two cascading waterfalls, the mini volcano, and the reflective koi pond. The cabana, where the ceremony was held, was so beautifully decorated with exotic furniture from faraway lands. What a glorious place for proclaiming our love for one another once again. Words cannot express how we felt about the ceremony Capt Howie delivered and how personal you made it.

Having photos and video taken on the beach at Angels Bay was an added delight. The privacy on the beach was one aspect that drew us to your Hawaii wedding package. The only people that were on the beach were us, the photographers, and one other couple further down the shoreline. There were no tourists snapping our picture and imposing on our special day. The white sandy beach, aquamarine water and exotic island in the distance was idyllic and another paradise all in itself.

Our Hawaii Vow Renewal captured both the luscious aspect of the island and the Pacific waters set against a beautiful blue sky. Everyone that has seen the pictures and video have agreed that this was a marriage set in paradise. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us a never to be forgotten memory.

233Dear Captain Howie,

We just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and your fabulous staff for all the care and special consideration every one gave to our destination wedding in Hawaii!  I can’t believe how easy planning a wedding was.  Just a few e-mails and a few phone calls and it was all done.  I had no idea where to start but your staff made it so easy.  Chrissy, Jenny and Deva went above and beyond the call of duty to provide me not only with suggestions on wedding attire, colors, photos, hair, flowers and make up. They also suggested various activities around the island they thought my family and I might enjoy over the two weeks we would be there.

I very much appreciated the extra time our makeup artist Wade allowed to take care of my long wild hair!  I am a licensed beautician, one that typically does not let anyone touch her hair!  I was absolutely taken away with the outstanding job he did on my hair and makeup.  My friends and family have used the terms “incredibly beautiful”, “absolutely stunning” and even said “I look like a model”.  My own children didn’t believe it was their mom right in front of them when I emerged from the makeup studio.  Wade was so enjoyable!  Both the conversation while he worked and the work he did for me were above and beyond exceptional.  He is a true artist.  (and Wade, we did go on the Diamond Head light house hike and made it to Haleakala for sunrise- can you say fabulous…thanks for the tips!)

Capt. Howie, you had a tremendous amount of patience from the time we bumped in to you on the beach the day before the wedding up to dealing with my very active 3 and 5 year old boys.  Michael loved the use of your “hut” on Angels Bay and it meant so much to me that you let the boys play a wedding song for Mom and Dad.  (Let’s not even mention how you let them play in every part of the beautiful falls, gardens, in the amazing Hobbit House,  and didn’t even blink an eye.)  You made “hang loose” and “no worries” have  true meaning.   Our boys are still saying “hang loose” and talking about “Captain Howie”.

Last I would like to say that the photos were also amazing.  We are so happy with every photo and appreciate the extra photos you included for us. As I show the photos to friends, family and co-workers they can not say enough nice things about the quality of the work.  I can’t even count how many times I heard phrases like “look at the colors”, “how amazing” and my favorite, ” these pictures are so good, I feel like I am standing right there  next to you”.

I feel like I found a whole new group of friends at “Above Heaven’s Gate” and I’m so grateful that I found You and Your staff.  Sometimes it is all about “fate”.  It is awesome that I was able to call with questions and get answers before you had my MasterCard or Visa number, many other wedding planners wouldn’t even talk to me without that information.  I can’t imagine any one of them providing the memories you have.

Once again, Mahalo!  We can’t wait to come back to renew our vows!

With much appreciation,

Nicole and Jacob Roberts – Weddings Hawaii

May 23rd, 2009

221Dear Capt. Howie,

You married us back on May 23rd, 2002 at your beautiful waterfall garden, Pukalani Falls. After nearly 7 years of marriage, and having attended all kinds of weddings, we are thankful we came to you for our Hawaii marriage. We loved it and would do it again in a heartbeat. Actually, we hope to come back to have a Hawaii vow renewal for our 10 year anniversary… and with our 3 children. We are so happy that Deva is OK. On our special day  she had to go in for surgery. Thank you so much for performing our wedding in Hawaii under those circumstances. God bless you both.

Aloha,

We received the pictures of our wedding in Hawaii, they are absolutely gorgeous. Thank you guys so much for everything. We couldn’t have pictured a more perfect destination wedding! We loved your tropical waterfall garden at Pukalani Falls. Also, the secluded sandy beach at Angels Bay was outstanding. Neither Steven or I ever pictured ourselves getting married so when we found each other not only our lives, but our outlook on life itself, changed. We really feel that you have touched our personalities and our individuality with your personalized Hawaii wedding ceremony. I appreciate the change in the traditional vows. We always felt they were too cliche and did not represent the true meaning of love and marriage. If I could do it all over again I’d do it just the same.

Thank you so much, we greatly appreciate it! Next time we are visit your islands, we will be sure to stop by.

Aloha,
