Dear friends at Hawaiiweddings.com
I cannot begin to describe our gratitude to Captain Howie and his staff for making our 25th Vow Renewal Ceremony in Hawaii so special. The staff assisted me in every detail from choosing flowers, hair and make-up, limo service, and photography. Everyone made sure our day was PERFECT! Pukalani Falls and Angel’s Bay Beach were beautiful locations for our ceremony as well as for our pictures.
Most importantly, Captain Howie was amazing! We are looking forward to our 30th Anniversary and renewing our vows again at Above Heaven’s Gate.
We were blessed to have our three children and our daughter-in-law there for our ceremony. Now, our 17 year old daughter has decided when she gets married, it will be at Above Heaven’s Gate with Captain Howie!
Thank you,
Tony and Crystal Grant
After coming home from Above Heavens Gate and getting our feet on the ground, we had to tell you how great our Hawaii wedding experience was! Captain Howie and his staff were absolutely fantastic. We could not have asked for a better setting and a more intimate experience. We really liked how Captain Howie made a custom wedding pronouncement that evoked tears and deep-seated emotions from within our hearts and souls. As a long time surfer and life adventurer, your ceremony was a perfect fit for a soul-surfer and his mate.
Thanks again for allowing us into your wonderful Hawaii Hobbit House and Pukalani Falls, and sharing your piece of paradise with us. There is NO question; our wedding is something we will never forget.

Thanks for an absolute wonderful wedding in Hawaii. It was perfect – the place, ceremony, photos, cake, flowers, your partner, and your staff.
Hawaii is paradise… such a beautiful place. In particular, Pukalani Falls and the magical tropical surroundings are really something very special that will always hold special memories for us.
After Kelley and I ran the Honolulu Marathon the morning before, it was another very early start with the limousine picking us up at 5:45am. I was quite worried as it was pouring rain. When we arrived, the rain stopped and Capt. Howie welcomed us. The girls went into the makeup room and the boys went out to the back garden. Pukalani Falls Garden is beautiful – the waterfalls, lush tropical gardens, special lighting, and torches burning.
Fernando, the photographer of whom I cannot speak more highly of, was genuinely very friendly and made Kelley and I feel so relaxed during the photo shoot. The ceremony was very special. Capt. Howie made it very personal and spiritual with a nautical theme that went down well with this ex-Sailor. The whole order of service from photos, cutting the cake, and then the ceremony amongst the beautiful surroundings was a great way to experience this special moment in our lives.
The Red Velvet Hawaiian Wedding Cake is highly recommended. Both the fresh flowers for the top of the cake and Kelley’s bouquet were absolutely beautiful. We totally recommend, when planning your wedding, that you definitely include the photo and video package – stunning and very professional. The DVD and photos were so good that I have had numerous comments about whether or not the surroundings were real or not. One friend quoted: “These photos are absolutely stunning. Kelley looks gorgeous. I’m not exaggerating here but they are the best wedding photos I have seen. Blown away.”
Thank you to Capt. Howie, Sara, Fernando and all the team!
Aloha,

Our whole experience at Above Heaven’s Gate and the beautiful atmosphere was amazing. Thank you Captain Howie! We honestly could not have asked for a more perfect location or friendlier staff. The stylist, Wade, did a wonderful job. The photographer, Fernando, was very professional and took beautiful pictures that we will cherish for years to come.
Thank you for making our stress-free and full of wonderful memories!
Aloha,

20th Anniversary Vow Renewal on Sept. 30th 2011
Hello Captain Howie and the ladies!
I find it hard to put into words how powerful and meaningful our Hawaii beach wedding was. These are mere fumblings I jotted down not long after we were wed:
My fiancé and I were married on Angels Bay Beach by Captain Howie. We flew from Nashville Tennessee to exchange vows in paradise and celebrate our love and new life together as a married couple. As I read his bio, I sensed he was a deeply spiritual man. I was very impressed with Captain Howie’s experience – 35 years of performing marriage ceremonies in Hawaii. It just felt right for us and the arrangements were made with a simple phone call.
I am a pragmatic man, a physician, and a person happy to live life without much questioning of things I cannot measure. As my beautiful bride and I stood on the balmy beach at Angels Bay with Captain Howie, he spoke of God’s love and our commitment to one another. I realized I was listening to the words of a man who wanted nothing more than to be a vessel, empty of himself, so that God might speak through him. Both my wife and I believe he did. Our wedding was profound and powerful. Our lives together as a married couple couldn’t have started more beautifully.
Thank you Captain Howie for touching our hearts with your sincerity and warmth. We will never forget you!
Aloha,
Jeff and Delk

We wanted to send a quick note to thank the whole team at Above Heaven’s Gate for making our wedding in Hawaii absolutely perfect. Louise loved Wade, the stylist. He made her look and feel like a princess. Fernando and his protégé took some amazing pictures. They made us both feel really comfortable. Hawaiian wedding planners, Jodi and Sara, were lovely too. They handled every detail with ease, making our day run very smoothly. Lastly, we’d like to thank Captain Howie and his dear wife, Deva, for allowing us to get married in their fabulous Pukalani Falls Gardens (and for lending me some swimming trunks
You all played a part in making our family complete and creating memories that we’ll cherish forever more.
With Love & Gratitude,

Dear Captain Howie and Team,
Thank you for making our wedding in Hawaii even more beautiful then we could ever imagine it to be!!
When Jeff and I got engaged, we knew right away that we wanted to get married in Hawaii. When we started researching all inclusive Hawaii weddings, yours was the first web site we visited, and although we looked at a few others, we kept coming back to yours. We knew right away that we made the right choice. From the first phone call we were made to feel very comfortable, and we had our whole day planned in about 15 minutes. From that first phone call on, everything went smoothly.
When we arrived in Hawaii and called Captain Howie, he helped us with a few more details. The limo was beautiful and we were able to enjoy the scenery on the drive. When we arrived at the location, (which was breath taking) we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. My daughter and I got our hair and makeup done, and were extremely pleased with the results. it was a very relaxing and enjoyable time for both of us. Wade was so much fun.
The photo session was wonderful, and Fernando was amazing, the photo’s are spectacular! Seeing them we were able to relive the day all over again.
We would like to send a special thank you to Captain Howie… what an amazing and beautiful ceremony!!
From the blowing of the conch shell… the words he spoke from his heart, and personal touches he added… the way he included our family members in the ceremony… and the extra’s we received (the voice recording of our ceremony, a printout of our vows and wedding certificate, more pictures then were in our package)… we couldn’t of asked for anything more meaningful.
Our whole day was an experience we will never forget!!
We would definitely recommend Captain Howie and his team of expert Hawaii wedding planners, as it will be a wedding you will remember always.
Sincerely,
Jeff & Lisa Brooke
