Words cannot express how “Unique” Above Heaven’s Gate is. From the moment we saw Captain Howie and the website, we chose to look no further. There was an instant attraction that led us to believe that this was the ultimate spot where we had to exchange our wedding vows. Your website was very informative, precise, and accurate as can be. From the minor details, everything went so smoothly as it was planned out across the thousand miles. Sara was our first contact and her calm, serene, friendly voice made the start or our planning stress-free and with such simplicity!

As the days grew closer, there were no worries for our special day. We embraced, anxiously waiting to see your facility and what we envisioned. On occasion, we called to check in and one time it was quite a surprise to actually have Captain Howie answer the phone. I was so “star-struck” and speechless for a second; I had to try to remember why we had called. Captain Howie was such a delight and very thorough as well. He himself reviewed our package and made some great suggestions that we could not pass up! Thank you, Captain Howie, for assisting us with the wedding planning!

On our special day, we were in awe from the very start! Our limo driver was punctual and so pleasant. The stretch limo was amazingly huge for just the two of us. The drive from Honolulu to Pukalani Falls Garden was dazzling and divine. And what a surprise it was to have Captain Howie be the first to greet us as soon as we arrived. One by one, each staff member was so kind, courteous, and such a pleasure to meet! The grounds were spectacular and stunning. Each and every piece of décor was very powerful and harmonious for our perfect ceremony. The bridal bouquet and matching cake top were so elegant and exactly as they are on the website. We were so impressed at the beautiful flower arrangements and atmosphere!

Again, we would like to “Thank You”, Captain Howie and your astounding team of Hawaii wedding planners, in making our Wedding Day more than perfect. Wade, you are the most talented Makeup Artist ever! You did a sensational job in making me look and feel “Fabulous!” Fernando, Thank you! Also, thank you, Fernando, for helping Jim find his whalebone necklace that was lost on the beach. Our special singer, Dean, who serenaded us has the most enchanting voice; with the backdrop of the waves, he created the most splendid setting at Angel’s Bay Beach. It was absolutely breathtaking!

In conclusion, at Above Heaven’s Gate with Captain Howie and his wonderful staff is a Magical Extraordinary Place. We are overjoyed how everyone and everything has exceeded our expectations. We are thrilled to have met all of you and to have shared our special memories at your unforgettable place, which is in fact. “A BIT OF PARADISE.”

Our whole experience with Above Heaven’s Gate, from the first phone call to our remarkable Hawaiian wedding, has gone beyond our expectations. After studying their outstanding website, we decided to call. Our first interaction with Sara was a hit. She referred me to our travel agent Eric. I was almost a bit hesitant about being passed to a travel agent but that was quickly laid to rest. He did a great job of working with our budget and timeframe to book us airfare, a car, and a beautiful oceanfront hotel. Eric truly became a friend who helped put our minds at ease about traveling such distance.

Being fans of the Lord of the Rings as children and studying Interior Design, Captain Howie’s Hobbit House was a dream come true for Mark and I to get married in. This house is wonderful! The pictures you see on the website are beautiful but do not compare to being there and seeing it. We are happy with everything about our perfect wedding. Captain Howie worked with our special requests to incorporate our Greek Stefana Crowns, which was done beautifully. We just received our fantastic photos and love them. The photographer took amazing pictures that our families are also thrilled with. He did an excellent job of capturing our experience. Everything was perfect. The makeup artist was super cool and made me look and feel like a movie star. Thank you for everything! It was a once in a lifetime experience.

WOW, THANK YOU, what else can we say?  What a great day! It was all we had dreamt of.  Our wedding in Hawaii was very small, just Rev Rich, our photographer Piloni, and the two of us, but it was truly the best day of our lives. We felt so comfortable.

Thank you, Rev Rich, for absolutely everything. Your words and thoughts touched our hearts.  You just seemed to know us.  Thank you, Piloni.  You are a truly gifted man who gave us direction to bring out the best in us. Our photos are just amazing.  To Sara and the rest of your team of Oahu wedding planners, thank you.  You guys are the best. Trying to organize a wedding from Australia could have been nerve racking, to say the least, but you managed to keep us at ease with your endless help.

It was the most beautiful day, sun shining, beach sand glowing, and the color of the water, from blue to green, was just amazing.  The beach at Angels Bay is the best location.  We couldn’t imagine having done this anywhere else

We cannot thank you enough for the amazing job you did with our wedding in Hawaii! We just received our photos and video in the mail today. Everything was absolutely beautiful and far exceeded our expectations.

Captain Howie did a fantastic job on our ceremony. Words cannot describe the beauty of Pukalani Falls Garden, Angels Bay, the Hobbit House, Koi Pond, and entire property in all. We are so happy to have chosen you guys and would highly recommend you to any couple. You truly made our special day perfect. The flowers, wedding cake, photos, video, stylist, rose petal heart in the sand, and every last detail was beautiful!

Wade did a wonderful job with my hair and make-up and made me feel absolutely beautiful. He also made me laugh and calmed my nerves. He is very funny. You guys made everything about this experience wonderful and perfect. We cannot thank you enough.

We were a little nervous about the ceremony because Shane’s father is a very religious and spiritual man. Our views are a little more loose; however, he also loved Captain Howie and the ceremony. We don’t think we could have picked a better person to marry us. You guys really made this into the wedding of our dreams! Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.

Wow, wow, wow! Andy and I just had the chance to look at the video and pictures of our incredible Oahu wedding. Although just two short weeks ago were we privileged to have shared in the beauty of your shangri-la at Pukalani Falls Gardens. These pictures brought tears to our eyes. We can’t thank you enough for making our special day incredibly SPECIAL.

Sara was so helpful in making the arrangements for the wedding, from the beautiful leis to the limousine arrangements and advice for the luau. Your photographer and videographer were very friendly and professional and the pictures and video are BEAUTIFUL. Van, the limousine driver, was extremely accommodating in taking us around the island. He stopped at many breathtaking spots for us to admire and take pictures of to memorialize the beauty of it all.

And Captain Howie, what can we say about you? Where do we start? You are absolutely adorable! The beauty and power of your spiritual words was captivating and the sound of your singing and drums will stay in our hearts forever. We couldn’t take our eyes off of you. Jennifer and Scott’s Hawaii Beach Wedding

Above Heaven’s Gate married us on Friday, March 23rd, 2012. I’ve always wanted a sunset wedding in Hawaii , and the location of our ceremony Pirate’s Cove on Oahu’ North Shore was truly a dream come true! We are from New York, so we had to do all of our planning over the phone. Jodi and Captain Howie were a pleasure to talk to. Jodi was very patient and took a lot of time to answer all of my questions. She also gave me some great suggestions! They made it so easy to have a beautiful wedding! They took care of everything and we had no problems the day of the ceremony!

Our efficient Reverend Rich, our photographer Piloni, and our videographer, Marty, were professional and accommodating. I thought for sure I was going to be a hysterical mess, but Piloni took a bunch of pictures before sunset and helped me relax before the actual ceremony. Our pictures are breathtaking and our video melts my heart every time I watch it!

It was an amazing experience to be married in Hawaii by Captain Howie’s gang from Above Heaven’s Gate! I am so grateful that we found the right people to help us celebrate and remember our special day! They are the #1 people to get married by (or renew vows) in all of Hawaii!!
