Thank you so much for making our Hawaii wedding day so special and perfect. We were really moved by the ceremony as Captain Howie so beautifully wove our two religions together, Christian and Hindu. The staff was wonderful throughout the whole process and was always available to answer our questions, making the whole experience more personal. We just received our photos today in less than two weeks and are thrilled. Our flowers were absolutely amazing. The private Pukalani Falls Garden felt tranquil and was perfect for our ceremony. Your hospitality was great in person and on phone or email. We’re so happy we chose you. Our wedding on Oahu with Captain Howie and Above Heaven’s Gate was absolutely wonderful!

Dear Captain Howie, Chrissy and Jodi,

We just received our Hawaiian wedding video and our CD photo album.  They are both fantastic!  Everything in our video looks perfect and all the romantic scenes on the beach were edited together seamlessly to create a beautiful memoir of our ceremony.  The music choice was perfect. It pulled everything together and matched the emotional content so well… we couldn’t help our tears when we watched the video.  Captain Howie’s meaningful words will forever be etched in our hearts now!

The interactive CD of our wedding pictures is gorgeous, and we love the background music as well.  We can’t wait to show it to all our friends!  Your photographer captured the most beautiful moments so well, and the “digital Botox” really worked wonders!

Thank you again for the beautiful ceremony and the outstanding work on the photos and video!

When Michael and I began planning our Hawaiian wedding day, I remember describing the “perfect” day to him. He reminded me that very rarely is anything in life perfect but I should set my goals on “excellence”, nonetheless. Then, we found you and on December 21st and came to suspect perhaps there is such a thing as a “perfect wedding day”.

Dear Captain Howie and staff,

Tanya and I booked our Hawaiian wedding with Above Heaven’s Gate six months before our actual wedding date. Putting everything together was a breeze and thus we didn’t worry about a thing, right up to our wedding day.

Arriving for our wedding in Hawaii, Tanya and I had a list of things to do, one of which was to get our marriage license. We accomplished that the day after we arrived and then we toured the beautiful island until the night before the wedding.

Arriving at the Pukalani Falls Garden, we were immediately extremely pleased. We were showed around and assisted by Captain Howie’s wife, Deva, whom was immensely inviting and assured that we felt welcomed. She gave us a tour of the beautiful gardens and asked about any additional requests we had that she could accommodate.

After we settled in, Wade, our makeup artist and hair stylist did his magic on both myself and my bridesmaid, Tanya. We both loved Wade as he was so friendly and clearly loves what he does – on top of being very talented and attuned to what the camera will show, which will matter for years to come.

It was clear that Captain Howie and his team put every effort into assuring everything runs perfectly and your wedding day goes as smoothly as possible. The wedding ceremony itself consisted of Captain Howie and his magical words. It was just us three, Tanya, myself, and Captain Howie, who was there to guarantee that everything was perfect. He composed a very personal ceremony just for us. It was difficult not to cry, even though Tanya told me tears were not allowed to occur (in a humorous way) so that she didn’t start crying also. It is the most special memory of my life.

Above Heaven’s Gate is more than Captain Howie, even if he is the one who makes it feel like magic during the moments that are most important and memorable. It is also the dedicated team of people who really want you to have the best wedding possible, and for Tanya and I, they achieved just that. Thanks to all of you for a wedding we will remember and cherish always.

We highly recommend Captain Howie and Pukalani Falls to any couple interesting in Oahu weddings.

To Captain Howie and the Gang,

On November 23rd, Mike and I had the wedding of our dreams at Above Heaven’s Gate. We live in Orlando, Florida and we could not find the setting that we were looking for until I found Above Heaven’s Gate.  With all the 5-star resorts in the Orlando area, none compared to the beautiful Pukalani Falls Garden and Angels Bay Beach at Captain Howie’s.  Above Heaven’s Gate provided a higher quality and a more intimate setting than any beach on the east or west coast of Florida.  Trust us, we have snorkeled all the beaches in Florida.

Pukalani Falls Garden was immaculate for our most intimate ceremony.  Complete with a fish pond with the most beautiful koi fish, the photos are one-of-a-kind.  The expert manicured grounds and the waterfall garden were so impressive.  It was all that we were looking for in a garden setting.

We also chose to have photos taken on the beach (Angels Bay) at sunrise.  Jodi, your suggestion for the perfect lighting for photos is indeed at sunrise.  The photos are breath taking.  The sunrise achieved the most spectacular scenery and colors that cannot be replicated.

Previously married to a professional photographer, I am very picky in the quality and the composition of photographs.  Within 2 weeks, I received prints and CD of the photographs and I was completely ecstatic with joy.  Captain Howie’s photographer’s attention to detail rose to the very high level of my standards (and that is pretty high). He was truly excellent! Our photographer was able to capture all our emotions perfectly and we THANK HIM.

My hair and makeup were a complete work of art.  The look I was envisioning was achieved with the utmost care and attention to detail.  I never looked so good in my whole life! Wade was amazing!

But most importantly, Captain Howie gave us memories to cherish with his interpretation of the wedding vows.  We desired a ceremony that was Christian based to signify our marriage covenant before God and Captain Howie delivered wonderfully.

We absolutely recommend Above Heaven’s Gate to everyone looking for a Hawaii wedding coordinator. Mike and I are 110% satisfied.

We would like to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts the happiest day of ours life’s, October 21th 2010! We wanted a magical Oahu beach wedding so we started to look for the perfect place. We found it within five minutes on the internet – Above Heaven´s Gate. It was the one! We didn’t hesitate for a second and we´re glad for that!

It was quite an adventure! The adventure of a lifetime! We are from Portugal and we had to travel all the way across the world to have the perfect union, at Angel´s Bay. The geographic distance was no obstacle at all. It was easy and actually lots of fun!!
All our friends who saw our pictures and the video were amazed by the unbelievable tropical beauty. We are already planning to return again one day and renew our vows with Captain Howie.
