We wanted to send a quick note to thank the whole team at Above Heaven’s Gate for making our wedding in Hawaii absolutely perfect. Louise loved Wade, the stylist.  He made her look and feel like a princess. Fernando and his protégé took some amazing pictures. They made us both feel really comfortable.  Hawaiian wedding planners, Jodi and Sara, were lovely too.  They handled every detail with ease, making our day run very smoothly. Lastly, we’d like to thank Captain Howie and his dear wife, Deva, for allowing us to get married in their fabulous Pukalani Falls Gardens (and for lending me some swimming trunks ;)

You all played a part in making our family complete and creating memories that we’ll cherish forever more.

Dear Captain Howie and Team,

Thank you for making our wedding in Hawaii even more beautiful then we could ever imagine it to be!!

When Jeff and I got engaged, we knew right away that we wanted to get married in Hawaii. When we  started researching all inclusive Hawaii weddings, yours was the first web site we visited, and although we looked at a few others, we kept coming back to yours. We knew right away that we made the right choice. From the first phone call we were made to feel very comfortable, and we had our whole day planned in about 15 minutes. From that first phone call on, everything went smoothly.

When we arrived in Hawaii and called Captain Howie, he helped us with a few more details. The limo was beautiful and we were able to enjoy the scenery on the drive. When we arrived at the location, (which was breath taking) we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. My daughter and I got our hair and makeup done, and were extremely pleased with the results. it was a very relaxing and enjoyable time for both of us. Wade was so much fun.

The photo session was wonderful, and Fernando was amazing, the photo’s are spectacular! Seeing them we were able to relive the day all over again.

We would like to send a special thank you to Captain Howie… what an amazing and beautiful ceremony!!
From the blowing of the conch shell… the words he spoke from his heart, and personal touches he added… the way he included our family members in the ceremony… and the extra’s we received (the voice recording of our ceremony, a printout of our vows and wedding certificate, more pictures then were in our package)… we couldn’t of asked for anything more meaningful.

Our whole day was an experience we will never forget!!

An open letter to all couples engaged to be married:

Our advice… indulge yourself by having the wedding of your dreams in the beautiful Hawaiian islands with Above Heaven’s Gate.

It was super easy and stress free with Captain Howie and his staff… perfect!!  Our biggest concern was getting the marriage license but Capt. Howie’s website has a cool video and even the forms to complete before we left home – making the whole process fast and easy.  My bridal bouquet was beautiful. It looked exactly like the picture… even more beautiful  Captain Howie’s ceremony was delightfully unique. It fit our unique style to a “T”.  The photographer was excellent. Much to our surprise, the pictures arrived in only 2 l/2 weeks.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice of Captain Howie and his wonderful crew of Hawaii wedding planners for our special day.  We are now living happily ever after.

When we began planning our wedding, we knew we wanted to get married on the beach in a tropical paradise. We than began researching beach weddings in Hawaii. When we came across the website for Above Heaven’s Gate, we fell in love with the pictures and felt this was exactly what we were looking for. After speaking to Captain Howie, we both agreed that this was the person we wanted to bless our love in marriage. The staff was very helpful and easy to work with along the way. Little did we know how truly amazing Pukalani Falls and Angels Bay really were. !

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Captain Howie and immediately made to feel like family. What amazed us even more were the beauty of the garden and the tranquil feeling of peace and love.

Dear Captain Howie,

Thank you so much for being a part of our special wedding in Hawaii! You married my beautiful bride, Rosie, and myself on November 12, 2011. I have to say, the day was perfect! From the girls in the office, to the makeup artist and photographers – everything was incredible. Every person we encountered was helpful, friendly, and professional.

We just received our photos and video and are extremely pleased. The Pukalani Falls Garden, Angels Bay Beach and the ultra exotic Hobbit House made for some amazing scenes in our wedding photos.

Both Rosie and I, and our families were so very pleased by the heartfelt ceremony you performed. We were happy it was not a cookie-cutter wedding, as we are not a cookie-cutter couple. We were so happy with you, we named one of our aquarium fish “Captain Howie”. Although, despite my training, he still can’t blow the conch shell.

Dear Captain Howie and all the wonderful people surrounding you,

Yesterday we received our pictures. Watching the slideshow and listening to our ceremony, immediately brought us back to the wonderful time we spent at Pukalani Falls Garden and Angels Bay.

When Thomas asked me to marry him, on a freezing cold and snowy night, I said yes – of course. But, I had one wish. I wanted it to only be the two of us, at a secluded and especially warm place. So, we decided to rearrange our travel plans to include a wedding and honeymoon in Hawaii.
I searched the Internet for a special place in the Hawaiian Islands, which wasn’t easy – until I stumbled over the lovely website of Above Heaven’s Gate. Watching the videos, looking at beautiful pictures of other couples, and reading testimonials convinced us to have our wedding in Hawaii with Captain Howie and his gang. We have never regretted our decision.

Beginning with our first call, the ‘girls at the office’ made me feel that I could have arranged my whole wedding in 15 minutes. Thank you so much for the excellent support before our wedding, which is not so easy between Hawaii and Germany. For instance, we got a list of places to stay. That’s how we found the wonderful B&B at Angles Bay Beach. Our hosts were awfully nice, our room was bright and comfortable, and we got the best breakfast of our whole vacation.

We booked a Sunrise Hawaii Wedding. While my husband took a nap on the couch, Wade did a great job with my hair and make-up. Thank you so much, Wade! It looked beautiful in real life and in the photos. Later on, Fernando took a bunch of pictures. After a few minutes of nervousness, we became really comfortable with Fernando’s humor and high spirits. He was open to every idea we had and tried a lot of crazy things to get photos that fit our personalities. In the end, we had to admit that all our earlier worries had been utterly uncalled for. The photos are amazing! Everybody agrees, and is at least a little jealous.

After the photo session, we had our actual wedding ceremony with Captain Howie who we had met two days earlier on a catamaran trip. We sailed on Capt. Howie’s colorful catamaran around Chinaman’s Hat and thoroughly forgot time while gliding over the waves. It was a trip we will never forget!

During our adventure, we were fortunate to have met ‘the cool’ Captain Howie and his spiritual self, Narahari, a man full of wisdom about life and love in our world. This experience brought a very personal touch to our wedding. The ceremony was so emotional for the two of us. We started to cry back home as we listened to the mp3- audio file Captain Howie made for us.
We want to thank all the people at Hawaiiweddings.com and, of course, first and foremost, Captain Howie, for making our wedding such a special and unforgettable experience.

From the very beginning, it was our wish to plan a wedding ceremony with a unique flair. We made the right choice! The web site was spot on. The flowers, the setting, it was all breath taking!

Everyone involved made us feel welcome. We felt as if our Hawaiian wedding was the most important thing to be done! Ruth did a great job at helping me look my best and we loved your comical yet charming parrot, Ruben!

Our families love the magnificent pictures! Everyone should consider having the wedding video done. It is hard to absorb and remember a ceremony while it is happening. We love to watch ours again and again! It captures the candid moments and makes us smile every time we see it!
