September 3rd, 2009

005Totanes11012Aloha Capt. Howie,

Everyone of my family members and friends had nothing but wonderful things to say about you, your staff and our Hawaiian wedding ceremony. Both Kevin and I were so grateful that you were there to share our special day with us. The ceremony was beautiful and I can’t stress enough how lovely the words you spoke were. Even my dad cried! :) From the very start everything about our Hawaii wedding was stress free. Your entire staff did such a great job taking care of everything. Thank you so much for making our wedding in Hawaii so perfect. We wouldn’t change a thing! You rock!

Sincerely,

Grace and Edgard Elento – Vow renewal Hawaii

September 2nd, 2009

016Elento11160Dear Capt. Howie and Gang!!!

We just wanted to let you know we’ve received our pictures from our Hawaii vow renewal at Angels Bay and they look fantastic. Edgard and I have caught ourselves going through them over and over just to relive the wonderful experience you and your team provided for us. My husband and I look 10 years younger and looking through them makes us feel giddy like teenagers all over again! We’ve told everybody about Above Heaven’s Gate’s weddings in Hawaii and have referred several of our closest friends to you. They too are looking to renewing their love with a vow renewal in Hawaii. We’ve expressed it before, but we can’t help but say thank you again for everything.

MAHALO!!

Rachel and Dave Watkins – Hawaiian weddings

September 1st, 2009

038Watkins10288Hi Captain Howie,

Thank you so much for the DVD, we received today. The quality is great and it brought back many happy memories of our wonderful wedding in Hawaii.

All the Hawaii wedding services you provided were top quality. Right from the very start of finding you on the internet searching for Hawaii weddings, through meeting with you before the wedding, to our special day itself and to the aftercare on our return home, you and your staff have been extremely friendly and efficient. We could not find the slightest flaw in any part of it. The make up artist made me look and feel like a million dollars. The photographer built up a great rapport with us and portrayed some lovely intimate moments – such as shared jokes and teary eyes in his photos and video. And Captain Howie himself brought a really unique and mystical quality to the whole proceedings. He understood where we were spiritually and brought the things that were important to us in our Hawaii marriage ceremony. The entire staff in his far out Hobbit House office were incredibly friendly and always answered any queries we had quickly. Both Pukalani Falls and Angels Bay were breathtaking. The sounds of the waves in the background provided a wonderful “soundscape” to our memories. We will never forget the Hawaiian wedding day, and we have Captain Howie and his crew to thank for that.

Please feel free to use the above for your website and let us know if you would like some more! Looking forward to receiving the photos soon. Thanks so much again!

Love,

Marissa and Scott Myers – Honolulu Wedding

August 7th, 2009

1250732736_WaimanaloSunrise_TestimonialHello Captain Howie and team!

I just needed to express my utter joy and excitement with how smoothly our Hawaii wedding ceremony went, and how touching and beautiful the entire affair was!

First the limo ride that picked us up right from our hotel became our own little private tour as we enjoyed the magnificent sites from the comfort of our seats… but it just kept getting better. As soon as I stepped out of the limo at Pukalani Falls and saw the Hobbit House for the first time, I knew Scotty and I made the right decision.

The venue was phenomenal… with its paradise-like atmosphere of exotic plants and flowers, soothing waterfalls, and well-loved cats, dog, beautiful parrots, and brightly-colored koi, my jaw dropped at the unbelievably gorgeous and serene environment.

Capt. Howie’s staff was so relaxed and friendly it’s as if our small wedding party of five was just visiting family. Our Makeup artist Wade took his time with my makeup and hair and the results were incredible… I felt like a glamorous island girl after I glimpsed at the results!!!

Fernando, our photographer, was laidback and very attentive to all of our requests. Chrissy was right there any time setup was needed, along with Captain Howie’s wife Deva. Jenny was also busy helping out with the background tasks.

Finally, there’s Captain Howie himself… what a beautiful, loving soul… he transformed our Hawaiian wedding ceremony into a deeply spiritual and unforgettable experience.

My dream was to have an eclectic, unique, FUN wedding and Hawaii Wedding delivered and went beyond any of my high expectations.

Thank you, Captain Howie and staff, for giving Scotty and me an unbeatably spectacular day of unforgettable memories. We feel truly blessed and proud to say we had our dream wedding in Hawaii at Pukalani Falls!!!

Sincerely,

Garrett and Shanae Core – Waimanalo Wedding

July 8th, 2009

243Dear Captain Howie and everyone at Hawaiiweddings.com,

Garrett and I wanted to take the time out of our day to express our heartfelt gratitude to you and your wonderful staff for arranging our dream wedding in Hawaii.

Jenny (office specialist): Your attention to detail and prompt replies to my many questions eased any and all jitters that I may have felt about our upcoming event/trip. The first time I called the office, it took you no more than 5 minutes to have an outline of what we needed – and from then on out it was smooth sailing. All I had to do was verify when asked to do so, and it was done. I didn’t have to lift a finger or fret over anything. (She even came to the rescue when I needed a few bobby pins during the first half of our photo shoot at the lovely Pukalani Falls.) Although there were many emotions floating around this day; Stress was not one of them! I thank Jenny for this!

Chrissy (office manager): We’d like to thank you, as well, for the prompt replies to our emails and attention to detail. The flowers, lei, limo rides, sparkling cider, etc, all came together so nicely. Even though I know you played a large part in looking over everything, I found that what’s best about you (to me) is that you are a joy to speak to! You seem to have a way about you that can put others at ease. I think I was somewhat homesick on that day knowing that our family was no where around to share in our happy moment, but you reminded me quite a bit of my older sister. It was comforting to be around, even for just a few hours. Thank you, Chrissy, for calming my emotions!

Deva (Capt. Howie’s wife): Your hospitality was above and beyond! You were so warm and inviting from the second we arrived. We never felt like a stranger, not once. You were very accommodating and we just feel so blessed to have had the chance to meet you. The Hobbit House was so beautiful! I’m a huge fan of all animals, so seeing all the different types roaming around made my heart soar! We thank you for allowing us the opportunity to spend time with you guys for a few hours.

Wade (our makeup artist): You are probably one of THE coolest people we have ever met! I told you the look I was going for and you made it happen! My eye make-up was stunning! I couldn’t walk out of my hotel room without getting stopped with random compliments about my up-do later on that afternoon, too! You’re amazing at what you do and we’re so glad to have met you.

Fern (our photographer): Fernando is undoubtedly the king photographer of Hawaiian weddings. We can’t wait to see our Hawaiian photos!!! Even though it’s only been a short time, I still open our mail box with anticipation! You were so warm and kind. I’ve always hated taking my picture, but you brought out the fun and made it easy! You even got Garrett to smile more than once! I’m amazed. You truly have a gift and a brilliant sense of knowing that beauty can be seen in all things. I’m incredibly jealous of your talents, but so thankful to have had the chance to have a professional photography session (and staff) for our special day.

Captain Howie: The main reason why I fell in love with the “getting married on Oahu” idea, was you. I gathered from your website that you are a very eccentric type of person and I always seem to find myself drawn to those that refuse to fit into a square box. After reading numerous comments about how different you actually can be I didn’t really know what to expect. After being around you for a few hours my only observation is this: You’re the type of man who only speaks when he has something incredibly important to say. You obviously know a thing or two about life and it felt as if you knew exactly where the two of us were in that exact moment. We can’t thank you enough for every reassuring word that was given that day. We will always keep this experience close to our hearts.

My overall advice to anyone considering Captain Howie at Hawaiiweddings.com Hawaii wedding packages would be to jump on the chance ASAP! I would also suggest you take their advice on the retouching (Digital Botox), photo packages, etc, etc. You will not be disappointed.

Cassondra and Jay Glausier – Getting Married in Hawaii

June 30th, 2009

236Dear Capt Howie and his marvelous staff,

Jay and I wanted to thank all of you at HawaiiWeddings.com for making our Hawaiian wedding day such a wonderful experience. It could not have been more perfect. Your office manager Chrissy was very patient and reassured us that everything would be taken care of, and it certainly was. When we arrived the only thing we had to do was be ourselves before the camera. Everyone made us feel like we were VIP’s. Our Photographer Fern was great. He made taking pictures an enjoyable experience. We liked the fact he took his time and wanted to get the best shots possible. Even the pictures Fern was able to show us, the day of our wedding, were amazing. The Pukalani Falls garden was breath taking. Our friends and family are still talking about how beautiful our wedding in Hawaii was. The ceremony was small and intimate which is just what we wanted. The words and advice Captain Howie spoke during the ceremony were eloquent and meaningful. Both Capt. Howie’s wife Deva and Jenny were such a help to us while getting ready for the wedding. They brought us beverages, checked to see if we needed anything, helped me get dressed, and helped to make sure we did not forget anything when the wedding was over. Oh and I can’t forget B.J. doing my hair and makeup. She listened to exactly what I wanted and I was very pleased. Jay also liked what she did. You guys made the entire experience trouble free and that is what we wanted. You never know… we may come back to renew our vows at some point in the future. Oh by the way, Jay loved the exotic bread fruit Capt. Howie cooked from the tree in your garden!

Thanks again and please keep in touch.

Alan & April Presswood – Hawaii Destination Wedding

Dear Capt. Howie and your wonderful staff,

Alana and I cannot put into words how much personalized care you and your staff put into our special Hawaiian wedding day. You made our dream a reality in the heavenly Pukalani Falls Gardens. There are so many highlights of our special day that I could go on and on.

It all began with the scenic and majestic limo ride from our hotel to Pukalani Falls. It then continued with me and my bridesmaid having our makeup and hair done in the cute little makeup cabaña adjacent the Hobbit House. This was one of my personal favorites because your makeup artist is unbelievably talented. I would DEFINITELY suggest ladies take advantage of this service as it is magnificent. His level of perfection and professionalism were awesome. He truly had the artistic ability to make me feel magically transformed into a movie star. My now husband brags to everyone how he went bodysurfing at Angels Bay, less that 100 yards away, while I was having my hair and makeup done at Pukalani Falls.

My point is, this day was absolutely all about us. And Capt. Howie it was you and your staff who made it all about us. You opened your home as if you had known us your entire life. I just cannot thank you all enough for being able to give us these memories.

Sometimes I close my eyes and relive the moments while we were there at the Pukalani Falls Garden. I picture the gorgeous tropical waterfalls, perfectly hatched hut, green golf course-like grounds, and breathtaking koi pond. Oh, how I am dreaming of being there right now.

I also wanted to thank you so much for following up on every detail. I can say with certainty, I had NO STRESS on my wedding day because I knew we were in good hands and I was right. My heartfelt appreciation also goes out to your fantastic videographer and photographer who were totally involved. Unfortunately, as you know we only had a few people that were able to travel so far with us. However, the video that your team produced made everyone I showed it to cry because it was so precious. We showed our “Wedding in Hawaii” video to all of our friends and family at a reception when we returned.

The photographs were just as special, as if they were from a magazine. I would encourage anyone who is thinking about having a wedding, to highly, highly consider being married at Pukalani Falls. Capt. Howie, your personalized and symbolic ceremony as well as the angelic surroundings will live in our memories forever. Thank you Chrissy for being so sweet every time we called or e-mailed you with a question. Thank you Capt. Howie for having the sweetest and most genuine smile and for being so caring. Thank you to everyone!!!

We are forever grateful, cannot put into words how much the personalized care you and your staff put into our Hawaii wedding. You made our dream a reality in the heavenly Pukalani Falls Gardens. There are so many highlights of our special day that I could go on and on.
