Dear Captain Howie,
First, my apologies for our delay in sending you our thanks and know that the lateness does not in any way diminish our thoughts or feelings of the most wonderful wedding experience of our lives. You performed the wedding ceremony in Hawaii for our daughter Holly on October 29, 2011 and made her dream wedding a reality.
The journey that led us to you for our daughter’s wedding in Hawaii began in October 2010 when my daughter, Holly, became engaged. She immediately knew that she did not want a traditional wedding, but wanted to get married on a beach with white sand and blue waters.
Admittedly, I was concerned and not sure what to expect. Now, however, there is no doubt in my mind that the ceremony you performed was much better than any local pastor would have. As you state on your website, you are not for everyone and that is exactly what made you right for us. Your free spirit and spiritualism guide you well. The blowing of the conch shell was very impressive, a perfect touch at a beach wedding in Hawaii. You spoke of God, love, family, nature as well as the beauty and importance of them all. You made the parents and guests feel comfortable by including us all in the wedding. As I share our pictures, I am constantly told that Holly had a perfect wedding. Nobody could imagine anything better. All we had to do was take the first step and make the call to Above Heaven’s Gate. Your staff made it so easy for us. We simply had to answer a few questions and before we knew it, we had a dream Hawaii beach wedding waiting for our arrival.
We thank Hawaii wedding planners, Jodi and Sara, for their patience and advice, not only on questions concerning preparations but general questions about getting around the island and lodging. They were always happy, polite, and very helpful – even when it was repetitive information we were requesting, many ‘what-if’ questions, or changing the timeline. Jodi and Sara responded to our e-mails in a timely and courteous manner. You ladies are so good at your jobs that I kept wondering what I was missing. A conversation or two with your staff and things are done. Thank you!
Thank you Wade, for emphasizing Holly’s natural beauty with the makeup, and not covering it up. You made us feel comfortable, sharing stories that brought laughter and relaxation. Early laughter helped set a happy mood for our entire day.
Thank you, Fernando, for the beautiful photographs and digital album. You made sure every picture was perfect. Your warm smile and courtesy helped Holly and Cody relax. Their photos will remind us not only of our beautiful Hawaii wedding but also of Hawaii’s tropical splendor.
Thank you, Kapila, for the video memory of that special day. We very much appreciate your expertise in taping and editing to create the perfect Hawaii wedding video. Not only can Holly and Cody see how beautiful the ceremony was to everyone else, they will remember the movement and sounds of the beach. Most of all, they will be able to hear Captain Howie’s words and relive that moment any time they want. We cannot wait to show the video during the upcoming holidays!
Finally, but not least, Captain Howie, thank you for being you. Captain Howie, I like simplicity and elegance and like them best when they are together. I think you will understand that when I say the most sincere thank you I can give is from my heart and is quite simply – Thank you or Mahalo.
Aloha,
