D.J. and I would like to thank you and your staff for making our 30th Anniversary Vow Renewal Ceremony at Sea the highlight of our recent vacation to Hawaii. For years, we had dreamed of renewing our vows in the Hawaii’s most naked splendor and you made that dream come true. The intimacy, intensity, and spiritual freedom we experienced during our ceremony will remain with us for the rest of our natural lives. Captain Howie’s non-scripted vows were uncannily reflective of our true relationship. It was as if Captain Howie had known us for years. Our thanks also go out to Fernando for taking some stunning photographs that will forever remind us visually of that which we’ll carry in our hearts forever. Thank You Above Heaven’s Gate for an absolutely “fantabulous” experience.

Thank you for the extra photos – it was a wonderful gesture and such a nice surprise. Dear Captain Howie,

I am sorry it has taken us so long to write and thank you for our wedding.  Life tends to gets busy very fast. Dave and I were looking for a Hawaiian wedding package that was slightly off the beaten path. We were not looking for the fanfare of a lavish wedding but something that was true to us. We are quiet and relaxed people and our wedding was about the commitment to each other in a private way. You and your staff made our day perfect.  From the moment we arrive at the Hobbit house, it was like transporting into paradise.  I was pampered by your hair and make up artist while my husband and his best man were given a tour of your home and the beautiful Pukalani Falls Gardens.  The beauty was amazing.

The ceremony on the beach at Angels Bay was perfect and true to our personalities.   The photos are incredible and look like something out of a magazine. We can not thank you enough for making our dreams come true on our special day.

Hi Captain Howie and the gang,

Aloha from Belfast, Ireland! We just wanted to write and let you know how much we appreciated everything you did to make our Hawaiian wedding day so special. When we first started looking around for an alternative to a ‘traditional’ service, we hadn’t even considered Hawaii, but looking back, we can’t think of anywhere we’d rather have been. As you know, we came upon your site purely by luck, and it took all of five minutes to decide your service was for us!

A quick email, and we got a call back from Capt. Howie within about twenty minutes. As soon as we had spoken with him, it was a done deal, and we knew we’d made the right choice.

Our day went even better than we’d planned (if that was possible) – the whole process went so smoothly. We just didn’t have anything to think or worry about, other than enjoying our day. Picked up by limo from our hotel, hair and makeup professionally done, and on to the photo/video shoot, relaxed and grinning like little kids at Christmas. When we think about all the running around, schedules and formality in other weddings, we just smile when thinking about ours. Fernando and Chrissy just made it really fun and enjoyable – we laughed so much that day and we can’t thank them enough.

The Hobbit House and botanical gardens are beautiful in the pictures, but they can’t do the place itself justice – it just has an atmosphere that you can’t capture on film! Likewise, Angels Bay is stunning – who can ever imagine getting married in such beautiful surroundings?

When we watched the video back last evening, it just all came flooding back, and especially the unique ceremony that Capt Howie gave us. It was very special, and if we’d known what we wanted beforehand, that would have been it. Captain Howie have a rare gift to look into peoples hearts.

We simply can’t thank Captain Howie and his crew enough for giving us this incredible day we’ll never forget. They made it so special for us, and it was truly worth coming all the way from Belfast Ireland on the other side of the world to have our wedding at Pukalani Falls and Angels Bay by Capt. Howie. We highly recommend Capt. Howie’s Hawaiian weddings to anyone and everyone!

Aloha Captain Howie, Deva, Chrissy, Jody, Ruthie, Fernando and Carlos!

Jim and I want to express our sincerest mahalos to each and every one of you for playing such a huge and pivotal role in what we consider “theeee” best day ever!

Our special day was beautiful from beginning to end… but we knew it would be because the first time Jimmy and I logged on to your website we knew immediately “this was for us”…..we fell in love with the pictures on-line and how welcoming everyone was. Thank you Chrissy and Jody… whenever I called you were both always so helpful answering all of my questions without hesitation. I always felt “taken care of” by both of you, and always finished the phone call with a smile ;) … knowing I had complete faith in all of you that everything would be perfect for my wedding day.

Our special day began with your one and only Ruthie, the makeup artist who was unbelievable!  She took such beautiful care of MacKenzie (my daughter) and myself…. I even had a (mini-meltdown) in the morning, but Ruthie was so awesome and dolled me up with her meticulous attention to detail and made me feel so glamourous with my hair and make-up.  Thank you Ruthie from the bottom of my heart…. the look in Jimmy’s eyes the first time he saw me…. I still get goose bumps remembering it. Words cannot express just how beautiful I felt because of how beautiful you made me look. Thank you!  Thank you! Thank you! (plus…we had such great laughs that morning too… sooooo much fun!)

Once we arrived, Deva helped all of us get situated so we could get dressed in our gowns and everything was done for us…I turned around and Deva had my flowers for me (which by the way were just as stunning as the picture, so order your flowers from Captain Howie and gang as well), she made sure everyone had their leis, it was awesome how everything, I mean everything is just taken care at Captain Howie’s!

Carlos and Fernando are just incredible at how they captured all the beautiful moments of our day on video and film. They both made us feel so comfortable and relaxed, and I truly believe it shows in our pictures how happy we look.  Their patience and professionalism was unparalleled. Additionally, Fernando captured so many pictures of all of our family as well, enhancing our cherished memories.

Our ceremony was so special, and we were so excited Captain Howie was able to marry us that day. With his special words and beautiful message we will always remember how unique our ceremony was.  Surrounded by beauty at Pukalani Falls, with the sounds of waterfalls and cool breezes, to a walk across the way to Angels Beach, looking out into the blue Pacific Ocean, our ceremony had the best of both worlds, garden and beach setting! We couldn’t have asked for anything more! Our wedding day will always be remembered with smiles, laughter and joy and it is all because of the wonderful….Captain Howie, Deva, Chrissy, Jody, Ruthie, Carlos and Fernando!
