We wanted to thank you for making our Hawaii wedding so special.  From the very start, your office staff was extremely helpful and made the planning process so easy.  The gardens at Pukalani Falls and golden sands at Angel’s Bay are so enchanting and beautiful. We couldn’t ask for anything more. Your makeup and hair artist, Wade, did an amazing job.  I couldn’t believe how I looked when he was finished.  Fernando, the photographer, really knows all the best shots to take in order to capture your perfect day.  Our coconut cake was also delicious and the flowers were stunning.

Lastly, we’d like to say, thank you, Capt. Howie, for your touching words and heartfelt ceremony.  I couldn’t imagine a more perfect Hawaiian Beach Wedding.  It was exactly what we dreamed it would be.

Aloha Captain Howie and the gang at Above Heaven’s Gate,

We wanted to send you all some Love and a Big Mahalo from Minnesota. Thank you again for a wonderful day! We couldn’t have scripted a more perfect ceremony on the beach.

Capt. Howie, your words touched all of us very deeply.  My father is still talking about it to this day. It was like you’ve known Jeanne and I for years.  Wade did an absolutely amazing job on Jeanne’s hair and make-up. She joked with me later to not expect it every day. Fernando is one of the best photographers we have ever seen. His pictures of us are fabulous!

From the beautiful Pukalani Falls Gardens, to Angels Bay Beach, we couldn’t have imagined a more scenic place to be married.  Thank you again for a perfect day.

We wanted to wait until we had the reaction of all our guests, at our reception back in California, to send you a thank you note. Thank you so much for hosting our wedding and making everything so easy and beautiful! If anyone wants a Sunset Wedding in Hawaii, this is the place to do it.  You had everything we needed to plan and the crew was professional and fun to work with.   From makeup and hair, to the photography, to the wonderful Hawaiian wedding ceremony, and the surprise outtakes coaxed from us at the end (an acoustic duet of Pinball Wizard)… we could not have wished for a more fun and meaningful experience.  Everyone loved the video and photos. They added so much to our reception.  It really was memorable and we would recommend a wedding at Above Heaven’s Gate to anyone that wants so much more than a standard cookie-cutter destination wedding in Hawaii.

Aloha!

We wanted to take a few moments to tell everyone at Above Heaven’s Gate, “Mahalo for our wonderful Hawaii vow renewal!” The entire experience was like a dream. We really could not have asked for more.

Wade did an amazing job on my hair and make-up and was extremely friendly.  The ladies in the office were also very nice. I really appreciate all of their help with last-minute changes.  The photographer & videographer were incredible!  They were so willing to listen to what we wanted and did not ignore our thoughts. They took our special picture requests without question. Everything turned out perfectly! The musician played such gorgeous music and really made our Hawaii Wedding experience seem truly authentic.

Captain Howie gave the most meaningful service we have ever heard.  As much as we loved our original wedding, I think we loved this one even more! Our experience was unlike any other wedding we have ever seen. It was special and felt like it was tailor made for us. That is something you cannot get just anywhere. We felt like we were treated as unique individuals and our wedding was personalized for us. It was not a “cookie-cutter” wedding for anybody to step into. For that, we are really grateful.

Everyone at Above Heaven’s Gate is amazing!  We would recommend them to anybody wanting to get married or renew their wedding vows in Hawaii. We are so happy with everything and again just want to say thank you. You never know, maybe we will return to see Captain Howie and his crew for our 20th Anniversary renewal!

I would like to say to you Captain Howie, my originally being from Hawaii, that was a beautiful Waimanalo beach wedding!  All my family loved what you had to say about what a couple should do when life gets a little difficult.  That was my family’s first beach wedding and they can’t stop talking about it.

Sailing to Matrimony

What can we say… “Just Wonderful”! Those two words describe the experience my bride and I had with Rev. / Capt. Howie and his outstanding crew – Jodi, Sara, and Fernando, our photographer.

Hawaii – what a beautiful setting. The scenery is spectacular, the weather is superb, and the sailing is exhilarating!

Penny and I decided that we wanted something different for our Hawaiian wedding and we were well rewarded when we chose the Catamaran Wedding Sail Adventure with Rev./Capt. Howie. Coordination for our wedding was a breeze, literally and figuratively. General guidance made final wedding preparations refreshingly easy. The sailing was expertly handled by Capt. Howie with care and safety in mind. My bride was put at ease quickly and soon found that she was thoroughly enjoying the brisk sail across coral reefs and around small tropical islands to our wedding destination on a secluded beach.

Capt. Howie made our vows personal and memorable, starting with the first note sounded on the conch shell. His moving homily during our marriage ceremony expressed words of love that will never be forgotten. Capt. Howie’s humanity is so touching; it is very understandable why his weddings are so popular.

Again, “Just Wonderful”! If you want a wedding that is truly adventurous and unforgettable, Penny and I highly recommend catamaran sailing to your union on a pristine Hawaiian beach.

“WOW!” is the first thing I want to say regarding our fabulous wedding in Hawaii.  Everything from the first initial call, to the final touches and surprises you had in store for us, was absolutely flawless – even magical.  I can’t thank you all enough for taking care of every detail and making sure our day was perfect and beautiful.  You’ve touched us in a way that will live with us each and every day of our married lives together.  Wade did a phenomenal job with my hair and makeup – everyone said I looked the best I’ve ever looked.  Fernando was spectacular with our photos. They were so wonderful and perfect, exactly what we wanted to take home and share with our loved ones.  We’ve had nothing but compliments and have nothing but gratitude for Captain Howie and his team for what you all made happen.  We had the time of our lives and will never forget the experience.

For Captain Howie, your words will live with us forever.  The things you said were very deep and meaningful.  You connected Dan and I with a deeper sense of spirituality.  We can’t find the words to express the deep appreciation we have for you!

For anyone who is thinking about having a wedding at Above Heaven’s Gate – do it! We witnessed other weddings while we stayed in Hawaii and nothing compares to the quality and feeling you’ll get while dealing with these folks. Captain Howie and his crew take pride in what they do – and it shows.  They have very experienced staff that will make you feel like family.

Howie said such wonderful things.  The entire experience was absolutely unforgettable!
