Dear Captain Howie,

Where do we begin to express how truly special and unique you made our wedding in Hawaii? From the time we arrived, you were there to ensure that everything was perfect. Pukalani Falls Garden was absolutely breathtaking and magical. We could not have asked for a more serene location for our ceremony to occur as we began our new life together as husband and wife.

Captain Howie, your message during the ceremony had such a personal touch and it felt like he had known us for years. We, along with our families, felt like it was unique and heartfelt. We know that we will be able to reflect on that message for many years to come, as we celebrate each anniversary, remembering our unconditional commitment to each other – no matter what joys and tribulations we may face.

As for your staff, we cannot believe what amazing gifts and talents each of them have. Wade did an absolutely fabulous job with Hair & Makeup and we will never forget what energy he had to make us laugh in the very early hours of the morning. As for the photography, Fernando was amazing! Our photographs were breathtaking. We have received so many compliments from family and friends about the quality and uniqueness of each moment that was captured during our special Hawaiian wedding day.

Dear Captain Howie and staff,

Thinking about planning weddings in Hawaii from a different country is a little overwhelming.  We are so grateful to have come across your website! It was all stress-free.   Your website is so informative that all you have to do is decide what you want.  The various details and changes that came up along the way were all handled beautifully through your office.  Your staff made everything so easy.  Thank you!

We are grateful to have had our ceremony performed by Captain Howie – it was a wonderful decision on our part. The location options are all fantastic but having Captain Howie marry us was the most important detail of our wedding.  He was spiritual, without being over the top, and fun and loving.  He was thoughtful enough to tastefully include my deceased son into the ceremony without being obvious.  Very touching!

Wade is an amazing person and I was grateful that my daughter and I were fortunate enough to have him do our hair and makeup.  He is truly a very talented artist.  He is a warm, kind, fun person and we felt like he was part of our family.   His ability to transform people into their natural beauty is incredible and we were sad when it was time for him to go.  Our thanks to him for working his magic and covering Bob’s black eye too!!!!

Fernando is just plain fun and we can’t wait to receive our photos. We all had so much fun with him!  He makes everyone feel comfortable enough to just be themselves. His interaction with Captain Howie truly shows the connection and professionalism of their business and makes the flow from planning, to photos, to ceremony seamless.

My flowers (sigh)… what can I say about my flowers?  They were absolutely STUNNING!  Plumerias are my very favorite flower in the whole wide world and the design of my bouquet was exactly what I wanted.  Thank you so much for creating it for me. The leis and loose flowers for my hair were all so fresh that we actually left the island before they wilted.

When all is said and done, it’s a sad day when your wedding is over because you no longer get to interact with the people who have helped you so much over the months.  We send our thanks to all of you for helping make our Hawaiian wedding day so much fun and absolutely memorable.

Dear Captain Howie,

Both Steve and I want to thank you for the most beautiful and spiritual Hawaii beach wedding we ever could have imagined.  Since it was the second marriage for both of us and we were becoming a blended family, it was important to us to include our four children in the ceremony.  We wanted something private and meaningful.

Hawaii was a favorite vacation destination with Steve and his parents and since both of his parents have passed on, we thought Hawaii was the best place to get married.

Your staff did an excellent job with all of our wedding plans.  There was not a thing for us to do which made it a totally stress free and relaxing experience.  The ride in the limo, along the coastline, was incredibly beautiful. This added to the tranquility of the day.

Wade was absolutely fabulous.  He did an excellent job on our makeup and an even more fantastic job on our hair.  Thank you Wade, you are the best!

The photographer Fernando and videographer Kapila were fantastic.  Fernando was constantly making sure we had the pictures we wanted in our package.  The poses and shots were beautiful.

What really made our wedding special was you Captain Howie. You took our intentions of including our children and truly made it a spiritual commitment.  Our ceremony was not just about Steve and I; it was about all six of us.  The sand ceremony was beautiful and our sand vessel is truly unique.

Our Hawaiian wedding ceremony made us feel very comforted, peaceful, and so connected to each other.  It was absolutely lovely and tranquil. Thank you so much for sharing the picturesque Pukalani falls Garden and your Hobbit House home and for creating such a peaceful setting for our unforgettable beach wedding in Hawaii.

Heather and I would like to express our deepest thanks to you and your staff for our Hawaii beach wedding ceremony. We had desired an intimate, low-key ceremony that provided us the opportunity to express our love and commitment without formality and stress. From the day we first contacted Above Heaven’s Gate until the day we were greeted at the door, we felt at ease with our choice. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, professional, and treated us like family.
Heather and I, with your staff of Hawaii wedding coordinators, planned all the details of our special day. Even though we’re located in Pennsylvania, it turned out better than expected. The faith we placed in your hands for the entire event was a little scary. However, once we arrived, the fears were all dispelled. The help and support Heather and I received from your office staff Jodi and Sara to Fernando, the photographer, was outstanding.

We especially appreciate the beautiful remarks and the insight Captain Howie provided during the ceremony. Love is not simply a feeling, and a marriage is more than a commitment. His words captured what Heather and I feel for each other perfectly. The Captain’s insight was inspiring. The setting, the words, the family feel – it was the best. Our Hawaii wedding at Above Heaven’s Gate was everything we had hoped for and more.  The overall experience was wonderful, peaceful, and stress-free.  Rick and I were looking for a nice, quiet slice of paradise for our private ceremony and we found it!  We felt a sense of peace and serenity the moment we stepped into your humble abode! Your lovely Hobbit House, Pukalani Falls Garden, and Angels Bay Beach were the perfect place to celebrate our special day.

All of the staff, at Above Heaven’s Gate, is refreshingly nice, helpful and professional.  Wade, you are an artist!  I am so glad I chose to have you do my hair and makeup.  It was perfect and you did an impeccable job!   Fernando, you are a very talented photographer! We have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful the photos are.  You made us feel very relaxed and captured the mood, our love for each other, and the beauty of the island and surroundings in each and every photo. Jodi, you were so helpful and sweet and your digital editing talents are awesome… our photos are flawless! Good luck with your clothing line and other endeavors.  Also, thanks so much for not skipping a beat to re-edit our photo CD with the new music we chose. Sara, your bubbly personality and calm, sweetness shines through when you speak to clients and potential clients – keep up the good work!  Everyone made us feel at home and at ease on our special day, especially Captain Howie.  You have our humble appreciation for allowing us to come into your home and experience your peaceful serenity. Dearest Captain Howie & wonderful people at Above Heaven’s Gate,

Thank you so much for our amazing sunrise wedding in Hawaii! You made everything so easy and enjoyable for us. We are so happy to say that our wedding was absolutely ‘us.’ We really wanted it to be about the lifetime commitment we were making to each other (not the hugeness of what a wedding can be), and it was. We even went surfing after our wedding and kept saying to each other, “How awesome is this? We got married this morning and now we’re surfing!” We then put our wedding clothes back on and celebrated with dinner on the beachfront at Waikiki, toasting to the fabulousness of our Hawaiian wedding. It was the most perfect, relaxed, and happy day we could have ever imagined.

Once we got back to Australia, we excitedly awaited the arrival of our wedding photos. And, we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! We love them and so do all our family and friends (many of them wish they had been married with you too!). We now have memories and images that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

Aloha!

We would like to thank you guys for organizing a beautiful Oahu sunset wedding in Hawaii for us at Pirate’s Cove on the North Shore! It was everything we wanted and more. It all went so smoothly and we had an experience of a lifetime.

We have to really give props to Wade, your hair & makeup stylist. He is as professional as they come. We were very happy with his work and attention to detail.

One other person we have to mention is Fernando, your photographer. He was extremely professional and made us feel relaxed and at ease for the pictures as we were so anxious before the ceremony!
