Aloha to Captain Howie and his “crew”!
Mahalo for making our wedding day everything we had envisioned and more. We just received the photos that Fernando took and they are fantastic! It was wonderful to see the electronic photo album set to Hawaiian music and to hear Captain Howie’s words again (you were right – we couldn’t remember much of what was said that day)!
Wade did a fabulous make up job on the bride and maid of honor – we nicknamed him “The Magician” – he made us look and feel so beautiful while entertaining us all the while!
Chrissy and Jody – you make a great crew and your attention to detail was greatly appreciated! You are great Hawaii weddings planners. The plumerias we ordered for the bridal bouquet, and the lei for the groom and cake top were spectacular!
Captain Howie’s words were heartfelt and we are already talking about renewing our vows at Above Heaven’s Gate.! The warmth of spirit was palpable at the Hobbit House and Pukalani Falls Garden that day. Mahalo to Captain Howie and Deva for opening your home to us and making us feel so at ease. When we first opened the Above Heaven’s Gate website we knew it felt like a fit for us and we were so right!
As a side note of “small world” stories – when we flew back from Honolulu after our 9 day honeymoon on the Big Island we sat right next to one of Captain Howie’s friends – a man named Rick Edwards – what are the odds of that?? Also, thank you for suggesting Patrick Ching’s gallery when we asked about a local art gallery – we bought a beautiful painting of Waimanalo Beach that is so special to us!

My husband Lou and I recently visited your paradise for our daughter’s wedding (Lisa Malchiodi and Bill Narbert), May 6th 2010. We both wanted to thank you for opening your home to us. Your Hobbit House and Pukalani Falls Garden are breathtaking. It is something we have never seen before. The wedding ceremony was so spiritual and really touched our hearts. We were so blessed to be there to experience something that we cannot explain to others back home. It was heaven.

From the moment our limo arrived at the Pukalani Falls Garden paradise, the website photo’s are exactly what we saw, but even much more beautiful in person. The makeup and hairstylist, Wade was the best. He accented my daughter’s beauty and did an outstanding job. He was great!

Fernando – You did such a fabulous job with us taking pictures. Thank you for being so patient with us. You were also more than gracious with letting our parents take pictures as you were taking them.
Chrissy – Thank you for everything from the emails to the phone calls. You made us feel assured that our wedding would turn out just as planned. Also thank you for helping me get ready. Captain Howie and Deva are very lucky to have you as part of their Dream Team.

It is even more peaceful and pleasing to the eye as it seems.

I wish I could do more for you to express our thanks then to write a testimonial. It just doesn’t seem like enough.
Captain Howie should change his name to Rev/Captain/Godfather Howie! Because our wedding was a true fairytale and all of you made our dreams come true.
Being a perfectionist and a little crazy with my planning and organization of things, I could not imaginet someone else would take care of my wedding details! Poor Chrissy had to deal with my excessive amounts of emails for over a year! She was absolutely wonderful! Chrissy always got back to me within 24 hours and answered all my questions. I did barely anything; she made it so stress free! She suggested things that I didn’t even think about that made our wedding perfect… like a Limo large enough to fit all 20 of our guests! All I had to do was send out invitations!
My Hair and Makeup artist, Wade, was simply the greatest person and the best at his profession. My makeup was everything I pictured in my head. I still get compliments on it when people see the photos!
Fernando was the best Hawaii wedding photographer! Our photos speak for themselves! People are still raving about how great they are and that they should win awards! They fill our house with beauty and will forever remind us of all of you! And the wedding DVD was well worth it! It was so very well done. We will watch it every year on our anniversary!
The most memorable were the words spoken by Captain Howie. They touched the souls of everyone at the ceremony. By the end, everyone was in tears! The words meant so much to the both of us and will be forever engraved in our hearts!
Mahalo for everything!!! And don’t worry… as Captain Howie advised, We Will Never Jump Ship!
