Mark and I just wanted to say Mahalo so very much for an absolutely beautiful wedding day. From the moment we picked up the phone and spoke with Chrissy I knew this was going to be the best decision we have ever made. Everything far surpassed what we could have ever imagined for a Beach Wedding in Hawaii. Your team made us feel so comfortable and we felt like we had known you all forever.

Your makeup artist Wade was one of a kind. He was hilarious, charming and extremely talented. I felt absolutely beautiful. Fernando our photographer was so laid back and relaxed that it put us at ease. He is really gifted at what he does. Our Hawaii wedding photos came out just gorgeous, and they came so fast too! I wasn’t expecting to get them until at least 6 weeks after the wedding, what a great surprise. We have already blown up and framed many of them, and can’t believe they are actually pictures of OUR wedding!

Captain Howie, your words meant so much to us. For the little time you knew the two of us, you definitely knew the vibe we were going for. Everything you said hit the mark, and we are so thrilled we were able to be married by you. This is a moment neither of us will ever forget, and all your beautiful words will forever be ingrained in our memories. What a wonderful soul you have :)

Thank you all again so much. Our wedding turned out to be something you only see in movies or dreams!

Dana and I wanted to tell you what an incredible experience that we had throughout the process of planning our Hawaii wedding, and the day itself. You all took the stress out of the planning. For Dana, the call to reserve our wedding day was so very easy, and professional.

Wade, your makeup artistry made my wife feel like the most beautiful bride ever. And Fernando, you were amazing capturing the memories for us in your photos. You both are wonderful in how you take care of your wedding couples.

When Captain Howie married us, it was a great spiritual experience for both of us. He took the time to talk to both his staff and us, and to gather all the information he needed to compose a very personal and meaningful ceremony for the two of us. It was obvious that he spoke from your heart. He genuinely wanted us to start our life together in such a way that in the future, we could draw strength from our sacred Hawaiian wedding day.

The vows Capt. Howie gave us, and the words he spoke describing a true commitment to a marriage, have already rang true in our lives. We know we will always remember our amazing wedding in Hawaii and the beautiful Pukalani Falls Gardens and Angels Bay Beach. But most of all, we will forever hold Captain Howie and his marvelous staff at Above Heaven’s Gate, deep in our hearts. We would like to send you all a big MAHALO for making our wedding day on April 3rd so memorable!

We first considered Maui weddings, but when we looked around on the internet for Maui wedding planners, we discovered Above Heavens gate. We knew right away this would fit us best, and we were totally right! Captain Howie was truly the right man for the job!

Thank you Jody, Chrissy and Deva for being so helpful and easygoing on the phone and mails.
Thank you Wade for your work with Camillas hair. She was very nervous before you showed up but when you left she was more than satisfied, you did an amazing job!

Thank you Fernando for all the fantastic pictures! You are so gentle and professional and we really enjoyed spending time with you.

Thank you Captain Howie for your thoughtful words and the beautiful beach ceremony at Angels Bay. We got the audio cd today and we are so happy that we can listen to it over and over again and dream ourselves back to our big day!

We loved our vacation on the Hawaiian islands and we hope to come back real soon again. It´s paradise!

Hello to you Captain Howie and staff!!!!

We have so many great things to say about all you guys and your beautiful place!!! First of all Chrissy you are wonderful!!!! You saved our wedding!!! We had planned a wedding at our hotel or so we thought!!!! It had turned out to be a disaster!!! Our hotel hadn’t even saved our wedding date and we were already in Hawaii!!! So I called Above Heavens Gate just in hopes that they could marry us in the next few days. At this point we were not expecting a fairy tale wedding… just hoping to get married. Amazingly, in less than 10 minutes Chrissy helped me plan the wedding of our dreams!!!!!  From hair and makeup, to the flowers, to pictures, video,  amazing location, theme, wedding cake, and even limo service!!! She was FANTASTIC!!!

Wade you were absolutely fabulous with me and my daughters hair and makeup!!! And I should know as I’m a hairdresser as well!!! Lol. I only have extraordinary things to say about you and your work!!! And your personality was beautiful!! The girls felt so comfortable with you as did I!! They still talk about you!!!

As for Deva (Capt. Howie’s wife)…our children, Ethan, Madison, and Stevie, just loved you also!! They got to spend some quality time with you and Chrissy while we were doing some photos on the beach!! They adored your birds and cats and told their friends all about them!! Thank you for entertaining them!! You and Chrissy made them feel right at home and helped us include them in everything and make them feel like it was “their day” as well!!! Thank you again!!!

Fernando and our videographer were equally as accommodating and helpful – not to mention how creative and ridiculously talented they are!!! Neither Craig nor I are photogenic or feel comfortable in front of a camera but the both of them made it easy and effortless. And our pictures and video turned out breathtaking!!!! Thank you both soooooo much for the beautiful memories we will cherish forever!!

The gardens and landscaping at Pukalani Falls was beyond words. And the pristine Angels Bay, took our breath away.

And last but not least Captain Howie!!! You are truly an amazing person and soul!!! You made our ceremony so unique and personal!! Our wedding with you was nothing like one of the Hawaii wedding packages we would have had at a hotel. So we see all that mishap as a blessing!!! We got to know you and your amazing staff and have a fairytale wedding!!! Every detail perfect and filled with love and happiness!!! Thanks again!!!

Hello Capt. Howie & the Gang at Above Heaven’s Gate!

Our (pre-wedding) thank you card was a “mahalo” for all your help to plan our wedding & for creating such a special day for us. We want to say so much more (post wedding). This may sound biased, but we thought that our wedding ceremony was the BEST that we have ever witnessed. The words that Capt. Howie spoke to us were so meaningful, touching, & true. We are truly blessed that he was able to officiate our wedding ceremony (especially on a Sunday), when he could have been out in the beautiful hawaiian ocean & enjoying the sun. Thank you Capt. Howie for being there with us. Our families were so surprised at how a small & simple, beach wedding turned out to be so great. They all just loved it!

We also want to thank you for sending Wade over do my hair & make-up. He is so friendly & we had a great time ‘talking story’. Without him, I would not have been able to make myself look & feel as beautiful as he did.

Our photographer Fernando was awesome. He is such a professional and has such great patience. We loved how he made us feel so comfortable from the start. We can’t wait to see our pictures.

Dear Capt. Howie and gang -

Our wedding was everything that we ever could have hoped for and then some. We felt so welcomed, like we were the only bride and groom in the world that day. The fun started as soon as my Maid of Honor, Tracey, and I arrived and met Wade for our hair and makeup session. Not only is Wade an excellent makeup/hair artist, but we couldn’t have met anyone that was more interesting and entertaining – such fun!

I think that what we appreciated the most was you and your staff’s relaxing, casual, stress-free approach to the day. It was great how everything was taken care of for us, allowing us to relax, have fun, and enjoy our day. Our photographer, Fernando, was fabulous to work with. He did a wonderful job with all our pictures, both at Pukalani Falls and Angels Bay. There have been a lot of “oohs and aahs” from everyone who has seen his work – we are the envy of all our friends! The best Man, Larry, had a great time playing with the wide angle lens that the photographer loaned him to use with Richard’s camera. Larry was able to get a few really good shots of the photographer getting really good shots of us.

It was very unexpected and kind of you to include the 8 extra pictures as an “Aloha” gift to us – mahalo. We love the electronic photo album with the Hawaiian music and have enjoyed watching it many times. Listening to our vows on the audio tape is still a moving experience and brings us right back to that moment on the beach.

Captain Howie, our Hawaiian wedding ceremony was awesome and one that we will remember with great sentiment for the rest of our lives. We can’t begin to thank you for making our day so absolutely special in every way! You are a great team, please keep up the good work of bringing happiness and joy into the lives of those you touch!

Richard wants to add that, from a pilot (him) to a sea captain (Howie), 21º 20′ 31″ N 157º 42′ 00″ W are the coordinates that mark the start of a wonderful life!
