Kyle and I would just like to say thank you thank you THANK YOU to everyone at Above Heaven’s Gate!  Everything about our wedding exceeded every expectation that we had.  Planning our wedding was so EASY.  We pretty much planned our whole wedding in one phone call, and everything was perfect!  Our wedding was totally stress free and beautiful.

Right from the start, planning our wedding over the phone was so easy; the staff answered all of our questions and concerns.  Once we were in Hawaii they made sure to call to check up with us to make sure everything was fine and that we knew exactly what was going on and what was going to happen.

Hair and make up with Wade was so much fun. He is such a sweet person and I loved talking with him.  The limo came and picked up Kyle and I from our hotel. Then we went on a beautiful drive around the coast from Waikiki to Angels Bay in Waimanalo so that we could do our pictures.

Kyle and I are not the most comfortable people in front of a camera. However, you would never know that looking at our beautiful pictures!  We were so comfortable with Fernando. He really is a gifted photographer!

The ceremony itself was so beautiful and was exactly what we wanted for our wedding.  Captain Howie is such a sweet person who is truly connected with God.

Hawaii really is a beautiful and magical place and we are so glad that we decided to have our wedding there with Captain Howie.

Once we got home, we received our photos and video faster than we expected!  The quality of our pictures and video are so beautiful and we are so excited to show them to our friends and family who could not make it to our wedding!   Kyle and I are so happy that this is the route we took for our wedding. It was everything a wedding should be, beautiful and stress free, and it is all because of Captain Howie and all the wonderful people at Above Heaven’s Gates!

Dear Captain Howie & Staff,

We would like to sincerely thank you and your staff for helping us to create our dream wedding! We were married April 7th, 2010 at Angel’s Bay just before sunrise

We were both nervous to have my hair and makeup done by a stranger, but Wade listened to my every request. Wade made me look and feel beautiful! I felt like a model! He was kind and flexible. He used professional makeup and techniques; he is truly an artist. Thank you Wade!

Your wife, Deva is amazing! She was happy to help me into my dress and to answer my never-ending questions. She was professional, patient, and kind. Thank you Deva!

Fernando, our photographer was incredible! He offered suggestions, but also listened to ours. He was happy to snap a few pics using our handheld camera as well! Those snapshots will satisfy the friends and family until the professional photos come in. Fernando was encouraging and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We cannot wait until our finished photos arrive. We could not have asked for a more talented and accommodating photographer! Thank you Fernando!

The bouquet and lei were so fresh and fragrant and lasted for days after our wedding. The flowers were exactly what we had envisioned!

Chrissy and Jodi, thank you for helping us bring all of the details together. Thank you!

Finally, Captain Howie, we do not know how to express our unending gratitude. You spoke with us briefly and were able to perform our wedding ceremony as if you had known us for years! You somehow managed to tie together our differing spiritual beliefs perfectly. We could not have asked for a more beautiful and heartfelt ceremony! Your positive and peaceful demeanor was just what we were looking for. We are forever grateful for your kind words and blessings! We are so thankful destiny lead us to you and your staff. Dear Captain Howie and team,

This was not the first marriage for either one of us, but by far it was the most special. Captain Howie, with just the short amount of time you spent getting to know us, you were able to incorporate many of our spiritual beliefs and feelings about love and marriage into our ceremony. We felt as if each and every word was specific to us and our relationship. We could not have asked for a more beautiful Hawaiian wedding on Oahu.

Our Makeup artist Wade was wonderful. He was able to transform me into the vision I had for myself as a bride. He is so talented and such a sweet person, he made me feel and look beautiful.

Fernando is a great photographer and a super nice guy. He asked for our ideas and was willing to go along with many of them while suggesting tons of other unique and different poses. The entire time we spent with Fernando was relaxing and fun. We know we will have many wonderful pictures to remember our special day.

A big Mahalo for making our 25th Wedding Anniversary such a beautiful & meaningful experience. The gardens at Pukalani Falls are so beautiful & breathtaking.

Chrissy was so very helpful, patient, and kind with all our questions. She went above & beyond to make our day so special. Our leis, Becky’s bouquet, and cake were absolutely awesome!

Capt. Howie not only made us feel very spiritual & comfortable during our renewal ceremony, but he also made our son Matt feel special as he was included in everything!

Our experience was amazing and will last forever in our hearts. We appreciate everyone’s friendliness and kindness.

Aloha Captain Howie, Deva, Chrissy, Jenny, Wade, Fernando and Reverend Rich!

I can’t thank you enough for giving us a wedding day that was beyond our imaginations. From the first phone call, through the planning and all the way to the wedding day, you were all incredibly helpful and fun to work with. I can’t imagine a more stress-free way to plan a wedding! Chrissy and Jenny did a spectacular job making sure that everything was exactly the way that I wanted it. When we arrived at Pirates Cove and everything–flowers, leis, cake–was all ready and waiting for us, I couldn’t believe how easily it came together. My bouquet and the leis that we got were really gorgeous and matched both my dress and the dresses of our “wedding party” exactly. The cake and the topper were also very pretty–but most importantly, the passion fruit cake tasted awesome!! Plus, I can’t believe how beautiful Pirates Cove was, both before and during the sunset! I know that’s more of a result of the fact that, on the whole, Hawaii is much more beautiful than Maryland, but I couldn’t help that think that it was also that you guys picked a great location on the island. :-)

Speaking of the wedding day, I can’t say enough good things about it. I had really high expectations, considering the pictures that I saw on the website, and they were completely exceeded! Wade was amazing–he made both me and my mom look (and feel) like movie stars. Not to mention that he was really fun to just hang out with while he was doing our hair and makeup. Fernando was the most mellow and relaxed photographer I could ever imagine. Steve and I both absolutely hate to have our pictures taken, but with Fernando as our photographer, it was actually a lot of fun. He put us completely at ease. Reverend Rich’s words were absolutely beautiful and incredibly pertinent. I think that many wedding ceremonies can come across as things that are said just for the sake of saying them, without much thought for the two people getting married, but Rev. Rich’s words were so special to me and Steve that I know we’ll never forget them.

One last thing, I can’t believe how quickly you guys got us our photos and wedding audio! I know that we technically had an off-season wedding, but I couldn’t believe the turnaround time. Fernando must have taken the pictures back to the studio and started retouching the very next day! Our pictures came out absolutely beautiful and the wedding audio was a really nice touch. I showed the pictures to some of the people I work with and one girl actually said “I wish I could have another wedding day and get married like that!”

I can’t imagine a more wonderful way to get married or more wonderful people to help give us the experience! Thank you again for such an unforgettable wedding day!
